The Indian Prairie CUSD 204 Board of Education voted July 7 to appoint Michelle Shawbaker as the district's director of student services and to approve multiple consent agenda items, while pulling one policy for later consideration.
Superintendent Dr. Talley recommended the appointment, saying Shawbaker is joining the district from Ridge Family Center for Learning in Elk Grove Village, where she served as principal, and previously worked as an assistant principal and a director for early childhood. Talley said Shawbaker is a parent in the district with two sons who graduated from Neuqua Valley.
