Commissioners approve three resolutions for auctioned equipment, landfill litter fences and scrubber media trial

The Ada County Board of Commissioners opened and closed public hearings on three resolutions Feb. 18 and approved each as listed on the agenda.
Resolution 3066 directs disposal of surplus community-program audio equipment through auction. Procurement staff said the items were no longer needed by community programs and would be auctioned through county procurement.
Resolution 3067 authorizes a sole-source procurement of heavy-duty litter-control fences for the county landfill. Procurement described the fences as "heavy duty" and able to withstand significant wind; staff said the vendor previously provided the county's existing fences and had been the low bidder historically.
Resolution 3068 authorizes a sole-source, trial purchase of a variant scrubber media from MB Technologies for the landfill gas-to-energy system. Procurement staff and operations personnel explained the trial aims to reduce residuals the current media leaves in the gas-to-energy system.
All three resolutions were moved, seconded and approved by the board.
