Public speakers honor Reverend Jethro Jeff Moore and urge Santa Clara supervisors to agendize Gaza ceasefire resolution

Scores of residents and local leaders used the Jan. 14 public‑comment period to honor the late Reverend Jethro Jeff Moore and to press the Board of Supervisors to agendize a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Speakers included clergy, civil‑rights organizers and representatives of local advocacy groups. "We honor Reverend Moore by agendizing a resolution to bring life and hope to humanity," said one speaker, citing Moore's repeated public calls for Palestinian rights. Multiple speakers said Moore had joined them in recent advocacy and urged the board to act in his memory.
