Council welcomes new engineering staff and promotes David Lopez to engineering manager

The Baldwin Park City Council on Nov. 5 welcomed two newly hired engineering staff and promoted David Lopez to engineering manager.
Public works/engineering staff introduced Aldo Dorado and Abuzar (Abuzar/Abouzar) Farasati, both of whom the presenter said joined the city on Aug. 25. Staff said Dorado recently graduated from Cal State LA with a bachelor's in civil engineering and will support land-development reviews, encroachment permits and front-counter customer service. Farasati holds a bachelor's in civil engineering and brings more than 15 years of project-engineering experience; staff assigned him to the capital improvement program. David Lopez, a Baldwin Park resident for more than 25 years, was promoted to engineering manager and spoke briefly to thank staff and the public.
Council and public members offered congratulations and welcomed the new staff.
