Board Approves Routine Contracts, Extends Project Inspector Agreement and Designates Interim ECEC Director
Summary
The board extended a contract with Lintulu Consulting to finish DSA project closeout (time extension only), renewed a $300,000 contract with Roe Health LLC for nonpublic special education services, and adopted a resolution designating Matt Schielen as interim director of the Early Childhood Education Center to meet Community Care Licensing needs.
On Sept. 9 the Lemon Grove School District board approved a set of routine contract and personnel items as part of the meeting's action agenda and consent calendar.
Tianna Barton and Deputy Superintendent Burton described a time‑only amendment that extends Lintulu Consulting's project inspection agreement through December 2025 to allow Division of State Architect (DSA) project closeout work to finish; staff said there is no change in contract cost or scope. The board approved the extension.
The board also renewed a contract with Roe Health LLC (a nonpublic agency contractor) for an amount up to $300,000 to provide special education staffing support — for example, paraprofessionals — on an as‑needed basis to support students with health and behavior needs. Staff said Roe Health has been used in prior years and the renewal continues that relationship.
Superintendent Vincent requested a board resolution formally designating Matt Schielen as interim director of the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) to satisfy Community Care Licensing requirements; Schielen had already been serving in the role informally. The board adopted the designation resolution.
The consent agenda containing these items and other routine approvals was approved by voice vote.
