On Sept. 25 the Christian County Commission approved a sole‑source purchase to supply loading pads, stands and software used by the county clerk’s office for election equipment. Purchasing staff recommended New Inc LLC as the exclusive authorized representative for the required equipment and software, citing compatibility with the county’s current systems.
Purchasing manager Kim told commissioners the request was advertised and that compatibility with existing manufacturer equipment was the principal reason for the sole‑source determination. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the award by voice vote.
The approved purchase is intended to keep the county’s ballot-loading and vote‑processing equipment compatible with existing units in use by the clerk’s office; budget or line-item dollar amounts were not presented in the meeting record.
