Tahlequah honors Amelia Miller as All-State softball selection

"Amelia was selected as a large school east, All State participant from Tahlequah this year," Coach Chris Ray said, listing Miller's accomplishments as a four-year starter and two-time offensive MVP in district play. Ray told the board Miller helped the program reach multiple state tournaments and that she has signed to continue her softball career at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas.
Board members and staff applauded Miller and the coach for the accomplishment. The recognition included brief remarks about Miller's role on the team and an acknowledgement of family and community support.
No board action was required for the recognition.
