Shorewood board defers RFP for owner’s representative services to Dec. 17 for further edits

The Shorewood Village Board voted to defer action on an RFP for owner’s representative services until the Dec. 17 meeting so staff can incorporate trustee feedback on scope and language.
President McCaig moved to defer the item to allow the village manager to integrate comments; Trustee Warren seconded the motion and it carried. Trustees had identified wording and scope clarifications they wanted added before releasing the RFP, including whether nearby municipalities share refuse and yard-waste transfer-station usage, whether final-site selection should explicitly assess salt-storage needs, and whether the scope should include identifying funding opportunities such as Brownfield or remediation subsidies. Trustee Stokgren also asked that requests to decrease carbon footprints include financial cost estimates so the board can compare trade-offs.
The manager agreed to rework the RFP language and return the item on Dec. 17 with the requested clarifications. The board recorded the motion to defer and indicated the revised RFP would be distributed for review in advance of the next meeting. No procurement award or contract was approved at this meeting.
