Douglas County point-in-time count finds 63 people, 21% drop from last winter

Rand Clark, director in the Douglas County Department of Community Services, reported the results of the county’s January point-in-time count, saying, "I am pleased to report that we saw a total of 6 people sleeping unsheltered outside." The operation covered a roughly 48-hour window beginning the night of Jan. 27 and included county HEART navigators, law enforcement partners and nonprofit outreach teams.
