At the Nov. 5 work session the San Marcos City Council voted to convene an executive session under Texas Government Code section 551.087 (economic development) and sections 551.071 and 551.072 (consultation with attorney and real property). The executive session was called to discuss possible incentives for three items identified in the agenda as Project Shirley Temple, Project Primrose, and the River Bridal Public Improvement District and to receive legal advice on real property matters.
Councilmember Amanda Rodriguez moved to enter executive session; Councilmember Saul Gonzales seconded the motion. City Clerk Cordova called the roll. The minutes record the motion passed with the members present recorded as voting "Aye." The meeting recessed to executive session at approximately 3:26 p.m. and returned at approximately 5:55 p.m. The public record for the work session shows no formal public action, vote or ordinance adopted on the items after the closed session. The council adjourned the work session at 5:56 p.m.
