Planning staff presented a basic development plan for Dublin 7, a proposed Irish-pub themed restaurant at 6900 Executive Boulevard, during the Nov. 5 work session.
The applicant proposes a single-story building with a high roof and a screened outdoor beer garden that could operate as a three-season space; the plan includes land for special events and a rooftop deck but no full second story. The 3.78-acre site is zoned Planned Employment Park; staff said the project is consistent with the record replat under preparation.
Planning staff and the planning commission noted parking calculations that rely on shared spaces with the adjacent Rose Music Center (staff estimates about 1,300 shared spaces to the west). The applicants plan to operate a shuttle between the restaurant and the Rose to manage event-day parking; planning commission and staff recommended approval of the basic development plan, to be followed by a detailed development plan to address signage and landscaping.
Staff said building permits and construction are likely to follow approvals, with an anticipated start of building permits and early site work in the second quarter of 2026.
Why it matters: The proposal adds a destination restaurant and outdoor amenity near the Rose Music Center and the city's entertainment corridor; shared-parking and shuttle arrangements are central to staff's analysis of parking sufficiency.
