Aurora Fox reports rising attendance, revenue and new community programming

Rich said overall attendance rose to about 48'49% of house capacity in 2024 (up from just over 30% in 2023) and that the theater won regional awards and secured new media partnerships that raised visibility. Facility work completed or planned includes restoration of the 1946 neon sign, new carpet, HVAC planning and a planned replacement of all main stage seats this summer. Rich said the theater plans to replace seats in July and August and continues other repair and improvement work funded by a city allocation made late in 2023.
New programming includes low'cost monthly "Fox Flicks" matinees at $5 per ticket and a summer youth training program (Foxlight Feeder Laboratory) with a $299 tuition for a three'week pre'professional program; the Fox is also expanding partnerships with local groups and businesses to increase rentals and community foot traffic.
