The Lakeville Board of Health received brief staff updates on pending items and seasonal public‑health activity at its Nov. 5 meeting.
Ed, the town health agent, said there are no pending board of health items and that the town’s flu clinics held in October are finished. On mosquitoes, he noted that while Lakeville has experienced ground frost and local temperatures in the upper 20s, officials waited for a statewide declaration that mosquito season has ended because not all parts of the state have yet had a hard frost. "Technically, they haven't declared it over because there are still parts of the state that happened to the hot frost," Ed said, explaining the statewide administrative approach to declaring the end of mosquito season (18:54:38).
Board members recorded no additional pending items and moved to adjourn.
