Davie CRA names Two Men and a Truck its Q3 2025 "Let’s Talk Business" recipient

The Town of Davie Community Redevelopment Agency on Tuesday recognized Two Men and a Truck at 5850 Orange Drive as its third-quarter 2025 "Let’s Talk Business" recipient. Cheryl Ellet, program manager for the Town of Davie CRA, introduced the award and presented a short promotional video produced by town staff.
"My name is Cheryl Ellet. I am the program manager with the Town of Davie Community Redevelopment Agency," Ellet said as she opened the presentation announcing the recipient. The recognition highlights one town business and one business within the Davie Community Redevelopment Area each quarter.
Owner Bridal Lanier recounted the franchise’s local history: the South Florida franchise began in 1999 and has grown from two trucks to a regional operation. "We then came down and we bought a franchise in 1999, did our first move in April '99, and the rest is history," Lanier said, noting the company now operates multiple locations and a large fleet serving Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Lanier described services the company offers — including packing supplies, storage and follow-up customer service — and emphasized the family-owned character of the business. "We're a family owned business. We've been that way for 26 years, and we care about the product and the people that we send out there," he said, adding the company is implementing tablets for quality control and plans to add two-way cameras in trucks.
Susan Lanier and her son accepted the award and thanked the town and CRA staff. The owners also praised Debbie Thomas, a town staffer who, they said, helped facilitate their participation in the program.
Board members offered personal praise and recalled positive customer experiences with the company. After the presentation, the board and owners planned to take photographs.
The recognition was presented during a short CRA meeting that included routine business and no public hearings.
