Council appoints Ramon Habib as West Covina public works director

Council members welcomed Habib and asked him to review several outstanding public-works matters, including the tree trimming RFP that the council had deferred. Mayor Tony Wu and Councilmembers said they expect the new director to review procurement records and return recommendations to the council. The vote confirming Habib was recorded by roll call; the motion passed with Contos absent.
