Lake Forest Park climate committee recommends dissolution after finishing plan

Lake Forest Park '025 '— At a committee meeting, members of the Lake Forest Park Climate Action Committee voted to recommend that the City Council dissolve the committee after completing its primary charge of producing a climate action plan and supporting documents.

Committee members reviewed a progress update from the newly formed LFP Climate Hub, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that the group said has received $20,000 in seed funding from King County to support a digital interface and a physical community board. Hub organizers described plans for a rotating three‑month content display and a calendar/news section, and said they are recruiting a board and volunteers, including someone with financial experience to manage grant funds.
