Ross Kelly, the city’s GIS technician, presented a story map that shows locations, photos and short descriptions of existing Little Free Library boxes around Sebastian. Kelly said the story map can be used as a tour and would be published on the city website if the board endorsed it.
A board member moved to endorse the Little Free Libraries story map and a second was received. The board approved the motion by voice vote; members agreed staff should distribute the map through the city website and social media once the endorsement is recorded.
What’s next: staff will publish the story map and include it in city outreach and promotion. Board members were encouraged to contact the host organizations of individual boxes to coordinate future activities such as QR-code links or geocaching features.
