Commissioners schedule Oct. 20 closed session to finish IT services vendor selection
Summary
After interviews with RFP respondents, the court scheduled a special meeting for Monday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. to begin in closed session to discuss vendor pricing and to take action after the closed session. Commissioners said open session would expose pricing and that closed discussion was appropriate for contract negotiation.

The court scheduled a special meeting for Monday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. to open with a closed session to continue discussions and compare proposals for county-managed IT services under RFP 25-04.
The court said it previously invited four finalists for presentations and that commissioners wanted to compare pricing and proposals in a closed setting to avoid disclosing vendors’ pricing in open session. County counsel and staff were asked to prepare the necessary materials so commissioners could compare proposals "apples to apples" and take action following the closed session. The judge directed staff to publish the special-meeting agenda to meet state notice requirements.
No vendor was selected at the Nov. 7 meeting; the Oct. 20 meeting was scheduled to include closed deliberations on contract terms and pricing and an anticipated public action after the closed session.
