Board members expressed support during the discussion that followed. One member said, "I will always support resolutions that our district puts forth that really promotes all of our students regardless of their background." Another member noted the district's bilingual programs and said the district is "leading the way."
A motion to approve the resolution was moved and seconded. A roll call recorded affirmative votes from named members in the transcript: Missus Ericsson (yes), Missus Hardwick (yes), Mister Vasquez (yes), Miss Barnes (yes) and Mister Parker (yes). The motion carried.
