The amendment was described by Jeff Cook, deputy director, as an administrative, no‑cost contract change to keep the same consultant team delivering the I‑5 and 93rd Avenue Southeast interchange improvement study after a key subject matter expert left the firm.
Cook said the change "restructures" the subcontracting so the city retains the team it hired, and that the packet shows the changes. He characterized the amendment as a straightforward administrative action that does not change the study budget. Council members had no questions beyond confirming the numbers and the consultant rates were unchanged.
The committee voted to recommend the agreement be placed on the Nov. 18 council consent calendar with a recommendation to approve and authorize the mayor to sign; the vote was taken by voice.
The item will be on the Nov. 18 consent calendar for final council action.
