Monongalia County delegates Take Command ICRA setup to administrator; staff to roll out employee enrollment next week

The Monongalia County Commission on Nov. 5 unanimously delegated authority to the county administrator to execute documents and complete implementation steps for the county's Take Command Health service agreement for an individual coverage health reimbursement arrangement (ICRA).
Commission discussion clarified that the Oct. 17 approval of the Take Command contract included a software platform and customer service support for administering ICRA accounts. Commissioners moved to make explicit the administrator's authority to complete required steps including autopay enrollment, integration of the health insurance clearing account, creation of the account with Take Command's banking partners, and any other documentation specific to program implementation.
As part of the briefing, a commissioner said a Medicare-focused webinar for eligible employees had good attendance and that a training video had been distributed. Employees were told to watch for an email invitation to the Take Command platform beginning Friday, Nov. 7; a live webinar for all employees was scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday. The same commissioner said the open-enrollment period will begin with that Friday invitation and continue through the subsequent enrollment window as announced by the administrator.
The motion to delegate execution authority was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
