At its Nov. 6 meeting the District 49 Board of Education took final votes on four action items. Short summaries and roll-call outcomes follow.

HSED GED course for online expulsion program (Action 7.1)
The board voted to approve an HSED GED course for the district’s online expulsion program. Vote: unanimous aye. No substantive discussion was recorded beyond the motion and voice vote.

Mountain View Academy renewal and charter contract template (Action 7.2)
The board discussed Mountain View Academy’s recent performance and a new five‑year charter contract template that includes section 8.11 addressing legal counsel selection when both district and charter are co‑respondents. After discussion the board approved the renewal and contract template. Vote recorded: Tovala — Aye; Heil — No; Lavera Wright — Aye; Thompson — Aye.

Resolution, American Education Week (Action 7.3)
The board approved a resolution observing American Education Week and recognizing substitute educators, custodians, teachers, bus drivers, librarians and other school employees. Directors and student board members spoke in support; the board approved the resolution unanimously. A clerical correction to the year in the resolution was noted and corrected during discussion.

Policy revisions (Action 7.4)
The board approved the proposed policy and procedure revisions as listed in the packet. Vote: unanimous aye.
