Bannock County approves survey-review roster slots for three surveyors

Shanda Crystal, chief procurement officer for the Bannock County Board of Commissioners, told the board on Nov. 6 that the county received three qualifying responses to a request for qualifications to staff a survey-review roster and recommended awarding roster slots to Stuart Ward, Adam Thayer and Matthew Baker.
Crystal said the roster process is not required by code at the county's typical spending level but has been used previously to rotate individual reviewers for planning and zoning work. She said the three submissions met mandatory requirements and the county would draft contracts and send them to legal before issuing them to the contractors.
Commissioners moved to approve the recommendation and the board voted in the affirmative. No roll-call vote with individual names was recorded in the transcript; the motion was announced as approved during the meeting.
The procurement officer said the roster process has worked well for planning and zoning and will continue on a rotating basis. No dollar amounts for the resulting contracts were specified in the discussion.
