Beaver City Library schedules interviews after staff resignation; HR to participate

Library staff told the board a staff member recently submitted a two-week resignation and the library has received seven applications for the vacancy.
"I have a total of seven applicants, which is great," staff member Jody Robinson said. Robinson said three applicants appear promising, with four interviews to be scheduled after hours starting at 5 p.m. She asked for a volunteer board member to sit in on interviews and for someone to supervise applicants at the door; Patty Smart from HR will also attend.
Board members volunteered coverage and discussed scheduling constraints. Robinson said she preferred not to hold interviews during open library hours and planned to finish interviews the same week if possible. No hiring decisions were made at the meeting; staff will schedule interviews and return with outcome recommendations once interviews are completed.
