Beaver City Library Board approves minutes, adopts policy reviews and sets next meeting

The Beaver City Library Board on the meeting record voted to accept the May 7, 2025 meeting minutes with a minor correction and approved a slate of policy reviews recommended by library staff. The board also set its next regular meeting for Feb. 4, 2026, at 4 p.m.
The board’s minutes, read aloud by Jody Robinson, recorded earlier corrections to the draft and noted program and facility updates. "A few corrections were noted, including grammatical corrections. The changes were made," Robinson said during the minutes review. A motion to accept the minutes with that change was moved and seconded and carried on a voice vote.
The board then reviewed a packet of policies and identified those that had not been examined since 2022–2023. Robinson noted that the Internet access policy and the mission statement are required by the state to be reviewed every two years. After discussion, a motion to accept the proposed policy reviews was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
At the close of the meeting the board agreed to meet next on Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. A motion to adjourn followed and was carried. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript; actions were recorded as passed by unanimous voice votes.
The votes recorded on the transcript: the acceptance of minutes; approval of policy reviews; setting the Feb. 4 meeting; and adjournment. All appeared to pass by voice vote with no recorded dissents.
