Staff also said artist payments for traffic cabinet wraps have been issued to selected artists.
The commission set aside $15,000 for maintenance from the public-art 1% capital-improvement allocation (the commission historically retains 15% of the 1% for maintenance; some years have been higher to build the fund). Staff said they will assemble an RFP for art maintenance in 2026 and seek vendor quotes for repairs.
Commissioners discussed hosting an artist-reception after the holidays or in January so recently paid artists can be recognized once wraps are installed; staff suggested holding the reception on a second Saturday to link it with other events.
