The commission recommended Anne Brown for the three‑year seat and Caitlin (Caitlin McLennan) for the one‑year seat; both recommendations will be sent to council for final approval.
Anne Brown told commissioners she has lived in Bluff for four years, built a house in town, and emphasized planned growth and a long‑term interest in town solar. Brown described prior professional experience managing print and digital staff and said she would commit the necessary volunteer hours.
Caitlin McLennan described a master’s degree in environmental policy and planning and work as a community organizer. She highlighted interest in renewable energy, housing policy and historic preservation and said she can meet the commission’s weekly duties.
Commissioners praised the complementary backgrounds of the applicants — Brown’s local experience and McLennan’s academic and technical knowledge — and said both would strengthen the commission. The commission’s vote was a recommendation to town council; the council retains final appointment authority.
