The Coos County Board of Commissioners adopted Order No. 25‑10‑047PL, approving the vacation of an unimproved segment of Jupiter Lane (Coos County file VAC‑23‑002). Community Development staff explained the petition process, that an objection had required a hearing in May, and that staff and county counsel reviewed draft findings before finalizing the order and legal description.
A commissioner clarified that draft findings were submitted to county counsel on Oct. 21 and requested that the record reflect that timing. The motion to adopt the order was made, seconded and approved. One member briefly noted they were not voting for the motion when clarifying the record; the final vote was recorded as approved by voice vote in the transcript.
Public comment included questions about where Jupiter Lane is located and a request to include the specific road name in future agenda item text for clarity for members of the public.
