Fitzward also recounted a recent dispute with Public Works and code enforcement, saying crews had come onto his property twice, including an incident he described as involving an administrative search warrant and contractors; he expressed frustration with inconsistent enforcement practices.
Council members clarified that the Veterans Day parade is organized by veterans organizations rather than the city and noted the parade culminates with a ceremony in the courthouse parking lot at 11 a.m. on Veterans Day.
