Kevin Madison told the commission he previously presented a proposal months earlier to install the county's first digital billboards and returned on Nov. 5 with paperwork to share. "I put about 7 or 8 months ago, I came and presented that, 1 of the part of the Cass County to have the first digital," Madison said during the public-comment period.
Madison told commissioners he had materials available and pointed to displays already present for the health department and sheriff's office, and he suggested the signs could be used for Amber Alerts and public-safety messaging. "We'll also be able to, do like, for, like Amber Alerts and things like that," he said.
Commissioners acknowledged the materials and said staff would review the paperwork. No vote or directive was recorded on the public record; the meeting moved on to an executive session after public comment closed.
