During the Nov. 6 meeting the El Paso County Planning Commission approved the vacation and replat for Clairmont Business Park 2 (file VR251, filing No. 3) in a unanimous vote and forwarded the resolution to the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners.
The motion, made by Commissioner Schippel and seconded by Commissioner Brew, approved the project in accordance with the attached resolution and specified seven conditions, three notations and one waiver. The motion also included a finding of sufficiency of water quality, quantity and dependability. Commissioner Fuller chaired the item after a commissioner recused themself from participating in that specific matter.
Commissioner Brew was temporarily appointed as a voting member for the item to establish a quorum. The vote recorded Commissioners Brew, Schippel, Jack, Whitney and Acting Chair Fuller as voting to approve.
Staff referenced the resolution and supporting materials in the meeting packet during the motion; the text of the seven conditions, the three notations and the language of the waiver were not read in full into the public audio record and should be confirmed in the staff packet or written resolution.
The commission’s action forwards the matter to the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners, which will consider the final decision and any additional conditions or modifications.
