Sunset City Council approved an amendment to the plat for Falcon Ridge Building No. 2 on Nov. 5, 2025, to record the as-built condominium unit airspace. The amendment maps the vertical and horizontal boundaries buyers purchase (from unfinished floor to unfinished ceiling and the interior walls) and is intended to allow each unit to be separately conveyed.
City staff and the project presenters said the master plat had already been filed for all three building sites on the Falcon Ridge property; this amendment adds the delineation of individual condominium units for Building No. 2 (61 units). A presenter explained that a surveyor performed an as-built survey to locate the four corners of each unit to define the airspace buyers will own.
Council Member Thompson moved to approve the amendment; Council Member Carlson seconded. The motion passed with all members present voting in favor. Developers were asked to sign mylar and complete administrative follow-up after the vote.
The amendment applies only to Building No. 2; Phase 2 is nearing completion and Phase 3 remains unfinished, according to the presentation. Council did not discuss any financial subsidy or city funding related to the amendment.
