Resident raises parking and conditional'use concerns over events at nearby quasi'public property

The resident said the site now hosts events of approximately 150 attendees and that guests are parking in the resident's private lot, damaging it and creating an awkward situation when the resident is absent.
Town staff said the property was zoned AR (agricultural/residential) and that the conditional use permit had been issued as "quasi public." Staff offered to review the conditional use permit language to confirm any parking conditions and said the town would only enforce conditions that appear in the permit. Town staff suggested the resident could put up signs reserving the parking for the resident's business to reduce misuse. Staff also suggested civil remedies if necessary.
The board and staff encouraged the resident to document the problem, contact staff for a permit review and to try first a discussion with the event operator. No board action or vote was taken during the public comment period.
