Wallsburg council appoints Sam Hicken, Dennis Phillips to planning commission

The Wallsburg Town Council formally appointed Sam Hicken and Dennis Phillips to the town’s planning commission at its Nov. 6 meeting.
Council members thanked outgoing commissioners Travis DeFebaugh, Trevor Polam and Nate Sarat for their service. A motion to appoint Hicken and Phillips was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Councilmembers noted planning commission meetings are usually held monthly or as needed. Spencer Foster from MAG will serve as a nonvoting adviser to the planning commission and will not have a vote on commission matters.
