Reads Across America asks Orderville to help promote veterans'cemetery events; requests non'monetary support

"I don't need money," Seelhammer said, adding the request was for outreach: a mass text to town subscribers, a small insert in mailed water bills and posting the flyer on the town website and Facebook. He said the group serves multiple nearby cemeteries and that extra funds raised for one site carry over for next year.
Town staff confirmed the town can send a mass text with an attached PDF flyer and can put a 3x4 insert in up to about 200 printed water-bill mailings if the flyer is provided by Dec. 1. Seelhammer confirmed the local schedule: Mount Carmel on Dec. 13 at 9:00 a.m. and Orderville at 10:30 a.m.
Seelhammer thanked town volunteers and staff who have helped with coordination and said he and local volunteers had already raised funds to cover their costs; he repeated the request for distribution help rather than a financial contribution.
Town staff agreed to coordinate placement of signs at two locations and to post the flyer on town channels. The board did not take a vote on funding.
