Council approves blocks of liquor, victualing and entertainment licenses; Sakonate Vineyard license conditioned on sound mitigation

The council read multiple retail beverage and business licenses and moved to approve the renewals in blocks. No public opposition was recorded for the listed renewals. Motions to approve a block of liquor licenses, victualing licenses and holiday sales were made and carried with aye votes.

During the entertainment-license portion of the agenda, a neighbor urged continued work on sound mitigation at Saconate/Sakonate Vineyard. Council members incorporated that request into the motion and approved the entertainment license "as requested with all state and local ordinance[s] adhered to," with a stipulation that the licensee continue efforts to mitigate sound to avoid impacting neighbors' enjoyment.

The council also approved the Art Cafe entertainment license and several miscellaneous licenses (jukebox, moving-picture) as part of the routine business. All motions were passed by voice vote with no recorded opposing votes in the minutes.
