Lyon County commissioners on Nov. 6 awarded a contract to Cirrus Systems Reno Incorporated to replace the HVAC system at the Yerington Senior Center for $68,892. The project is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy State and Community Energy Program grant that county staff obtained.
Facilities staff reported federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements apply and that staff worked through bid and reporting requirements with grant administrators. The board voted 5-0 to award the contract and move forward with the project.
Work on the HVAC system is expected to proceed after contract execution and procurement of any required materials and permits. Staff said reporting and grant compliance would be monitored by the facilities and grants teams.
