Patrick Menzie, president of the Veterans Alliance of Greater Haverhill, told the City Council that the group's pre‑election veterans fundraiser breakfast will be held Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the AMVETS on Primrose Street. Menzie said veterans and elderly attendees eat free; general admission is $5 and tickets may be purchased at the door or via Venmo on the group's Facebook page.
Menzie said the alliance has provided a heating program in partnership with Braco Oil and has contributed roughly $13,000 in additional support for veterans groups since that effort began. Sponsorships are being offered: a "star" sponsorship is $250 and a "stripe" sponsorship is $1,000. The council thanked Menzie and encouraged attendance.
