Board continues 293 Winthrop Street quick-serve/retail proposal to Nov. 6

The Planning Board on Oct. 2 continued a public hearing for a mixed commercial proposal at 293 Winthrop Street that would include a 2,204-square-foot quick-serve restaurant with drive-thru and a 3,600-square-foot retail building. The petitioner also requested 50% reductions in required side and front landscaping and buffer planting.
Planning staff read a continuance letter and said the petitioner will seek to be heard at the next planning-board meeting in November. Board members noted an attorney for a neighbor had been present at an earlier session and urged the petitioner to contact that neighbor’s counsel before the next hearing. The board voted to continue the matter to Nov. 6.
