The Apopka City Council unanimously approved an interlocal agreement Nov. 5 with the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) to construct a northbound on‑ramp and a southbound off‑ramp at Binion Road and State Road 429.
Community Development Director Jean Sanchez presented the agreement and said CFX will fund 100% of the project’s design, permitting, construction and long‑term maintenance. The project includes a realignment of Boy Scout Road with a new roundabout, a frontage road to preserve property access and a 12‑foot multi‑use trail to improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity on the city’s west side.
