Staff read the consent agenda and later corrected mailed‑notice and neighborhood response counts for items 3 and 5. After the correction the commission reaffirmed the consent approvals. The commission then took public comment on item 4 (701 Indiana). Resident Sue Perkins spoke on behalf of neighbors and said the proposed change from one house to three on the small lots "tripled the population density in an already dense neighborhood" and that Herff Elementary is catty‑corner from the site, creating congestion and safety concerns at student dismissal.
The commission received multiple voicemails from nearby residents opposing three homes on the lot because of narrow streets and limited parking. In response, the commission granted a continuance to Dec. 2, 2025, to allow further review and neighborhood engagement.
The commission’s recommendation on these items will be forwarded to City Council.
