Samantha Benavides, zoning planner with the Development Services Department, told the commission the existing MF‑33 multifamily designation matches surrounding land use and that staff preferred a conditional MF‑33 CD tailored to professional office rather than a straight C2 commercial rezoning.
The applicant amended the request during the meeting to MF‑33 CD for professional office. The applicant told the commission he submitted the requested site plan and said the professional office use would be compatible with the residential character. There was no public comment on the item. A motion to approve item 1 as amended was made and seconded; roll call vote carried.
The commission will forward its recommendation to City Council.
