Board approves agenda and consent items, upholds student-discipline recommendation and confirms SEAC appointments

The Hampton City School Board on Thursday carried several formal actions by voice vote, including an amended agenda that added student-discipline matter 2025Tax06, approval of the consent agenda and two personnel/committee items.
The board first approved a motion to adopt the agenda with an addition: student disciplinary case 2025Tax06, which was moved by Mister Joseph Kilgore and seconded by a board member, and approved by roll-call voice votes with each member recorded as "Aye." The consent agenda — which included the personnel report, minutes from the Oct. 15, 2025 meeting, attendance releases, and receipts of donations for October — was then approved on a motion and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Under items for action the board considered student discipline case 2025Tax06. Mister Kilgore moved to uphold the superintendent’s recommendation; Doctor Reginald Woodhouse seconded. Miss Charbonneau called the vote with the following responses recorded: Miss Alfondra — Aye; Miss Cherry — Aye; Doctor Bates Gray — Aye; Mister Jason Samuels — Aye; Mister Joseph Kilgore — Aye; Doctor Reginald Woodhouse — Aye; Doctor Richard Mason — Aye. The motion carried.
The board also approved appointments to the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC/CEAC). A motion to move the SEAC chair/vice-chair appointment from deliberation to action passed; subsequent votes to appoint the named chairperson and vice chair also carried by unanimous voice votes.
No roll-call name votes showed any "No" or "Abstain" on the recorded items. Meeting minutes and official minutes will reflect the votes and the formal motions.
