The Penfield Central School District will hold a public information session on the proposed capital project next Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Penfield High School Commons, district officials announced Nov. 4. The district also scheduled the community vote for Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
At the Nov. 4 meeting the district business official (Driffill) encouraged community members to “come on out and hear from our project team” and said specific designs would be shown at the session. The board noted the session information was posted on the district website and sent via ParentSquare.
Separately on Nov. 4 the board approved the 2026–27 budget development calendar as presented. Driffill summarized the timeline and next steps: at the next board meeting the board will review budget goals, guidelines and factors and the annual reserve fund plan; February will include revenue and expenditure drafts (after the governor’s executive budget is released), March will include facilities updates and identification of any ballot propositions, April the board will adopt a proposed budget and May includes the annual budget hearing and the statewide vote (third Tuesday in May).
The capital project information session and Dec. 16 vote are separate from the annual budget process, but both share public‑information and voting timelines the board outlined at the Nov. 4 meeting.
