Board approves bond referendum resolution, multiple policy updates, MOAs and personnel items

The Three Village Central School District Board of Education approved several formal actions at its Nov. 5 meeting.
The board voted to call a two-proposition bond referendum for Jan. 20 (see separate article for details). The voice vote recorded in the meeting transcript showed no opposed votes and no abstentions; individual roll-call votes are not included in the transcript.
On policy, the board approved second readings of policies in the 500 series: student policy goals, students with disabilities, student complaint and grievance procedures, attendance, compulsory attendance age and entrance age. The board noted these policies had been reviewed by counsel and the policy committee prior to the vote.
The consent agenda passed and included: approval of minutes from the Oct. 22 meeting; acceptance of the audit corrective action plan addressing extra-classroom activity funds; acceptance of donations (10 board games and a $13,475 gift from the Three Village STEM Enrichment Foundation for Science Olympiad, robotics, math and computer science teams); approval of a contract for special-education tutoring services (per IEPs); declaration of surplus equipment (a nonworking printer); affiliation agreement with Saint Joseph University for student teachers (2025–26); revised committee membership lists for special education and impartial hearing officers; committee recommendations for special education and preschool special education; memoranda of agreement with the Three Village cafeteria unit (contract starting 07/01/2024 through 06/30/2028) and with the Three Village School Administrators Association related to redistributed responsibilities and stipends; and a set of personnel actions including retirements, resignations, appointments and substitute hires.
