Park development staff provided construction photos and schedule updates for several bond and park-improvement projects at the Nov. 6 Parks Board meeting.
John (park development) said Peter's Colony Park construction is progressing, with the water wall and wall veneer due to be installed. North Shore Park work included removal of old playground equipment, with new playground components and turf anticipated in early December. Staff reported a 90%-design milestone for Trotter Park and a design kickoff for the Leonard & Helen Johns site; a Chinchapel Multi-Use Field design meeting is scheduled to begin construction planning. Shadow Ridge Trail work will start on the first section to widen trail segments to 8 feet and repair cracked panels.
Staff listed outstanding procurement items (benches and trash cans at Oak Bridal Park ordered from the developer) and noted the Community Activity Center expansion RFQ came in with nine respondent firms and is undergoing evaluation. No formal board decisions were requested; staff said they expect some projects to go to bid in the coming months.
