Allegheny County Council approved two budget measures on second reading after a Budget & Finance Committee recommendation. Councilman Paul Messina moved both measures; both received unanimous roll-call approval.
The first resolution (13670-25) ratified certain year-end transfers pursuant to the county administrative code. The budget and finance committee met on Oct. 22 and recommended approval; Councilman Paul Messina moved adoption and the motion carried on a roll-call vote with 14 ayes and 0 nays.
The second measure (13671-25) amended the grants and special accounts budget for 2025 (submission 01-25). The committee recommended approval on Oct. 22; the council again approved the resolution by roll call, 14'2. Both motions were moved by Councilman Paul Messina and seconded; Jared the clerk recorded the roll calls and announced both measures passed.
Separately, several appointments to the Carnegie Library Board (13700-25 and 13701-25) were read into the record and referred to the committee on appointment review for further consideration; terms for the read appointments were listed as effective through Dec. 31, 2028.
