The board was informed that football coach Stelma has resigned; the district will begin a search for a replacement.
On buildings and grounds, staff said bidder responses for roofing and other projects have not been finalized and that Apollo Group (and other bidders) have not concluded their bids. Separately, a board member said three lights along the track are out and that prior committee discussion indicated the issue may involve broken underground wiring; facilities staff committed to follow up and provide an update.
Committee members reiterated that summer construction scheduling and lead times must be considered if projects are to be completed before fall athletics seasons. No formal purchase by the district was approved at the meeting for any additional capital items discussed.
