Plan commission approves Towneplace Hotel conditional use permit; staff removes obsolete condition

The City Plan Commission voted Nov. 6 to approve a conditional use permit for a Towneplace Suites hotel located south of 75th Street and east of 125th Avenue (District 16). Staff recommended approval subject to the conditions listed in the packet and asked the commission to remove condition 2e because the maintenance garage previously shown was removed from the most recent submittal.
Representatives for the hotel showed updated material samples and elevations to the commission. Commissioners asked about the location and color of EIFS and exterior tile; the applicant clarified where EIFS will be applied and presented tile and masonry details for upper floors. Staff said the revised materials satisfied the conditions of approval and recommended removing condition 2e.
A motion to approve the conditional use permit with the removal of condition 2e was moved and seconded and carried on a voice vote. The chair recorded an affirmative vote.
