MANHASSET, N.Y. — The Manhasset Union Free School District Board of Education on Nov. 6 approved a routine personnel schedule, three consulting agreements for professional development and transportation support, and a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the district—s support-staff union to add the job title "senior duplicating machine operator" to the bargaining unit.
Board President opened the meeting by noting a student recognition ceremony earlier in the evening before moving to the personnel schedule. The board approved the personnel schedule by voice vote; no roll-call tally was provided in the meeting record.
The board then approved a consulting agreement with Kelly Frederickson for professional-development consulting services running from Nov. 10, 2025, with the contract allowing up to 40 days of service. The superintendent stated, "She has officially retired from the district as of October 29," and the board clarified the arrangement is part-time assistance, including support on the district—s transportation RFP.
Members next approved an agreement with Francesco Frato for professional-development consulting services. During discussion board members and staff clarified the contract date; the record shows the agreement was read into the minutes as Nov. 10, 2025 to Jan. 30, 2026, and later the board confirmed the contract runs through Feb. 27, 2026. Board members also asked whether the contract could be terminated earlier; staff said the agreement was written to allow for shorter engagement depending on district needs.
The board approved a memorandum of agreement dated Nov. 6, 2025, between the district and the Manhasset Education Support Personnel Association (NESPA) to add the job title "senior duplicating machine operator" to the union bargaining unit and authorized the superintendent to sign the agreement.
Finally, the board approved a consulting agreement with Mike Ochs for professional-development and site-based virtual coaching services covering Nov. 10, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Each motion was approved by voice vote; the meeting transcript records "all in favor" but does not include individual vote tallies or recorded nay/abstain votes.
